R4D participated in the 8th Annual World Health Care Congress (WHCC) held in Washington, D.C. from April 4-6, 2011. The WHCC also featured the 2nd Annual World Health Innovation Program, which allows global organizations an opportunity to showcase initiatives that provide affordable, sustainable, and scalable solutions to improving health care.

The video interview was taped at the ongoing WHCC, where Ms. Lagomarsino moderated a discussion on financing innovations in Syria, Africa, and India. The Center for Health Market Innovations (CHMI), an R4D-coordinated project, also presented a poster at the concurrent Affordable Health Innovations Global Initiative on CHMI's innovative programs database.
