Nkem Wellington joined the Results for Development Institute (R4D) in May 2011 to lead communications for R4D's work on Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

Before joining R4D, Ms. Wellington helped lead communications and marketing at the Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center at Georgetown University specifically supporting the web site and e-communications. Prior to joining Lombardi, she worked at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business as the Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications for the MBA Career Management Office. She has also worked in the private sector as a Portfolio Manager at PNC Bank.

Nkem is a graduate of Denison University where she majored in English Literature and Political Science.
