Shubha Jayaram is a Senior Program Officer at Results for Development (R4D) where he leads various projects within education. Her areas of focus include secondary education, workforce development, youth employability, and education financing. Shubha leads R4D’s ongoing work in the skills for employment space. She is undertaking an analysis to scope the demand for a youth employment network, and has co-authored a study analyzing the skills required for work and identifying innovative models of skills delivery in the Latin America and Caribbean region. This works builds upon a two-year study led by R4D that examined the skills gap in Asia and sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, Shubha recently co-authored a feasibility study for the Global Book Alliance, and worked with partners and country experts to analyze the feasibility and design of the proposed mechanism.
Prior to joining R4D in 2011, Shubha worked in both the private and non-profit sectors, including with TechnoServe in Sub-Saharan Africa. Shubha holds a Masters in Public Policy from the Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government and a Bachelors in Economics and International Relations from Tufts University.
