Nina Schwalbe, Managing Director Policy and Performance, presented to the GAVI Alliance Board a proposed set of principles to guide the Board’s prioritization decisions, in an effort to best make use of scarce resources. The proposal focused on numerous potential parameters, including first and foremost honoring current commitments, considering a narrower focus on targeted vaccines, and establishing criteria to regulate funding decisions on new program applications.
